About the Book
Genre: Women’s Fiction with Sweet Romance
Blurb:
Mira wants freedom. She's been stuck in a bad domestic situation for a few years but she's finally ready to hit the restart button. When Mira begins a new life, she learns to live for herself. Things get complicated when she finds love in the most unexpected of places.
Snippet:
Shooting daggers with his eyes, her father answered Anuj’s call at the table. He apologised for Mira’s behaviour that afternoon. After he said sorry a third time, Mira’s mother couldn’t control herself – she grabbed the phone from her husband’s hand, telling her son-in-law, “You should be ashamed of yourself!”
Horrified, Mira’s father tried to take the phone back from his shaking wife. Mira was enjoying this. Her mother rarely spoke out like this. She had her mother’s support. That’s all she needed.
A shocked Anuj disconnected the call, telling his mother-in-law he had no idea what she was accusing him of. Mira’s father stomped off, his dinner untouched. Now Mira felt guilty. Her parents were going to fight because of her issues. She looked forward to meeting the lawyer the next day. She was a well-known divorce lawyer who was used to handling cases involving violent, rich husbands.
