EXCERPT
A day that started out in a frenzy had turned out to be unbelievable. Eric picked up the leather case left by the waiter and signed the bill. Angela’s stomach flipped as she anticipated the rest of the evening. She’d already been wrapped in his arms, and she imagined what it’d be like to go a step further tonight. He brought out a side of her she kept under locks with other men. His sensuality came across loud and clear. The way he moved, his intense stare, and his deep voice, aroused her in a way she hadn’t felt in a long time. Angela couldn’t stop fantasizing about running her fingers along his chest, down to his stomach, and around his muscular thighs. He made her feel sexy, and she enjoyed her erotic daydreams. It usually took her longer to be intimate with a man. She’d been shy and reserved. Maybe it was from being burned by a men in the past. There was no denying her urge to be close to Eric.
“Are you ready to leave?”
She tilted her head and nodded. Angela folded her napkin and stood. Her handsome date got up, put his arm out and reached for her hand. She loved all of the attention. It felt as if she floated on air. Eric’s strong fingers cradled hers as if it was something they did all the time, and she welcomed the gesture.
“Do you mind?” he asked.
“No, it’s nice.” His touch was gentle and she imagined how it’d feel all over her body. Hoping he didn’t read her mind, she lifted her purse over her shoulder. She’d let him be the one to make the first move and by the way things were going, she had a hunch she’d be in his arms before their date was over. The evening held the possibility of a romantic involvement with Dr. Eric Bradley and she couldn’t remember when she’d had such strong desires.
“It’s a great night to take a walk. How about it? My car is in a nearby parking lot.” He gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
“I’d like that.”
