My Review
Samantha makes for a very interesting and relatable heroine. On the one hand, she’s active, determined and wilful with an adventurous streak. On the other hand, she’s caring, sensitive and currently also insecure, battling fresh scars and trying to harden herself. In comes Jeff, in the foulest of moods because of his leg injury yet beneath it all also stubborn as hell, kind-hearted, fiercely loyal and sexy. Is it any wonder these two grabbed my attention straight away and kept me spellbound until the final page? I had an inkling about the father’s role in the whole ‘challenge’, and I feel inordinately pleased that my feeling was right.
If you enjoy fast-paced, sweet romances with a lot of sparks, authentic characters and a healthy dose of love for the outback, then you should give this book a try. It tugged at my heart strings in more ways than one and tells a story of family as much as of courage and healing (not just physical, but emotional as well).
Rating: 5/5
